PATTON — REBER – Edward L., 69, Patton, passed away Nov. 2, 2012, at his home. Born Jan. 4, 1943, in Spangler, son of Vincent J. and Ethel (Hunt) Reber. Preceded in death by parents; son, Edward T. Reber; and sister, Joyce Ann. Ed is survived by son, Randy (Karen) Reber, Wiesbaden, Germany; granddaughter, Brianna; sisters, Lois Egbert, Belleville, Mich.; and Janet Ols, Point Harbor, N.C.; brother, James Reber, Santa Cruz, Calif.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Ed was U.S. Army veteran and served during the Vietnam War and retired as a coal miner from Barnes & Tucker Mines and Bethlehem Mine 32. Member of Patton Eagles, John White VFW, Walter McCoy American Legion, Loyal Order of Moose, Patton Slovak Club, Sons of Italy and Patton Fire Company. Ed enjoyed spending time at the cabin and was always volunteering his time and services to help others. Friends received from 11 a.m. until the time of memorial service at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9, at Stevens Funeral Home Inc., 1004 N. Fifth Ave., Patton, Pa. 16668, by the Most Rev. Theodore Rematt.
