Betty Louise (Stover) Westover

CARROLLTOWN — WESTOVER – Betty Louise (Stover), 85, Carrolltown, formerly of La Jose, died April 12, 2014, at Golden Living Center Haida, Hastings, with her children at her side. Born Feb. 24, 1929, in Mosscreek, daughter of Samuel and Sylvia (DeHaven) Stover. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Preston “Bud” Westover,  in 2001; and brother, Melvin. Survived by son, Sam (Kathy) Wagner; daughter, Deb (Pran) Wagner, both of Carrolltown; grandson, Eric (Becky) Wagner; and great-grandson, Colin Wagner. Also many stepchildren, stepgrandchildren and special friend, Debbie Clarke. Betty was a retired LPN from  the Ebensburg Center. She enjoyed her family and extended family very much and was always willing to help when needed. She also enjoyed baking hundreds of Christmas cookies each year and sharing them with family and friends. She was a member of Westover  Golden Age and loved taking bus trips with them. She also loved bake sales, especially at the Harmony Fair. She  was a member of the weekly Bunko Game Crew. She was a wonderful and loving mother and Christian woman. She will be greatly missed. Friends received from  4 p.m. until time of funeral service at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Long-Contres Funeral Home Inc., Northern Cambria. Interment,  McDowell Cemetery.
