Stephen F. Szczur

WINDBER — SZCZUR – Stephen F., 50, Windber, passed away April 26, 2014, at Windber Medical Center.  Born Aug. 30, 1963, in Johnstown, son of Walter and Joanne (Bellak) Szczur. Preceded in death by special cousin, Tommy Szczur. Survived by parents; loving wife of 28 years, former Mary Lou Gall; daughters, Diane Szczur, and special friend, Joshua, and Julie Szczur, all of Windber; brothers, Kenneth, and wife, Shelley, and Vincent, and wife, Rose, both of Johnstown; nephews, Matthew and Jonathan; nieces, Stephanie, Kiersten, Kaley and Kara; uncle and friend, Jerry Bellak, and wife, Wendy; and Katie McClain, who Steve thought of as a daughter. Member St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Windber.  Also a member of Tire Hill Rod and Gun Club and Two-Lick Lake Recreation Association, where he enjoyed boating, fishing, waterskiing and family gatherings. Steve had a heart of gold and would help anyone. We will miss his warm laugh and smile. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Marron Funeral Home, Windber.  Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Windber, Father Martin Cingle, pastor. Inurnment, All Faiths Chapel and Mausoleum, Windber.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to his wife, Mary Szczur, 417 Main St., Windber, Pa. 15963, in memory of Steve.
