CRESSON — LEE – Norman J. Sr., 76, Cresson, passed away May 22, 2013, at home. Born June 30, 1936, near Lilly, son of the late Samuel and Anna (Ott) Lee. Preceded in death by sisters, Thelma Brown, Betty Belles, Florence Ondesko, Dorothy Roush and Catherine Mullen; and brother, James Lee. Survived by wife of 54 years, Dolores A. (Hufford) Lee; children, Virginia (Wilt) Lee, Debra (Brian) McDaniels, Norman Lee Jr. and Mike (Jean) Lee; and grandchildren, Nicole and Marty Schmidt; Patty and Eric Snyder; Christopher and Alicia McDaniels; Kate McDaniels; Neil and Lindsey (Cameron) Lee; and Megan Lee; also great-grandchildren, Timmy and Angel Schmidt; Jaden, Brooke and Eli Snyder; Sophia and Olivia McDaniels; Trevor Lee; Jessie and Jossie Lee. Also survived by brothers and sisters, Adam (Margaret) Lee, Shirley (George) Noel, Melvin (Frances) Lee, Regis (Dorothy) Lee, Ruth (Bob) Behe, Nany (Paul) Wood and Marian (John) Dorsh. Norman was a member of St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, where he had served as an usher for 33 years. Retired carpenter with Local 1419, Johnstown, and former owner of Lee’s Hardware in Cresson. Norman was a former vice president of Cresson Moose, as well as a social member of Cresson American Legion and Sankertown VFW. Also a former Little League coach in Sankertown, where he used his talents as a carpenter to improve the field. A loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather, he will be missed for his wise counsel and talented carpentry. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Charles M. Kennedy Funeral Home, Cresson, where vigil prayer service will be held. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Aloysius Church, the Very Rev. Father John D. Byrnes, celebrant. Interment, church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Norman’s family.
