PORTAGE — GRAHAM – Walter L., 90, Portage, passed away Jan. 6, 2013, at Maple Winds Care Center. Born Sept. 25, 1922, in Portage, son of  Laffete and Anna (Mittenburg) Graham. Preceded in death by parents; son, Bruce Graham; brothers, Preston, Firman, Calvin, Paul, and Lincoln “Abe” Shoff; and sisters, Gladys Hull and Irene Sliko. Last member of immediate family. Survived by loving wife of 63 years, Rose “Babe” (Karduck) Graham, and daughter, Linda, wife of James Galla, Portage. Also survived by sister-in-law, Margaret Shoff and numerous nieces and nephews. U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Retired from Bethlehem Steel. Past member of VFW Post 895, Amvets Post 150 and Portage Legion Post 430. He was an avid fan of watching boxing and the Steelers and enjoyed music, gardening and collecting pocket knives. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Serenko-Claar Funeral Home, PC, Portage, where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Pastor Mary Ann Long, officiating.  Military rites by Portage Veterans Ritual Team. Committal, St. Mary’s Cemetery, Portage.
