SOMERSET — KOWALCZYK – Rose Marie (DePetro), 99, Siemon’s Lakeview Manor Estate, Somerset, formerly of Boswell, died Jan. 16, 2013, at In-Touch Hospice House, Somerset. Born Dec. 26, 1913, in Seward, daughter of Frank Sr. and Marie (Cannoni) DePetro. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Chester A. Sr., on Sept. 29, 1992; son, Donald; sister, Carmella Montanaro; and brothers, James, Frank Jr., Joseph and Tony DePetro. Survived by children, Chester A. Jr., Somerset; and Mary Kay, married to Kenneth W. Johnson, Boswell; grandchildren, Brian and Douglas Kowalczyk, both of Redondo Beach, Calif.; Kenneth W. Johnson II, Boswell; and Kristin Johnson, Philadelphia, and fiance, Eric Fleming, West Chester; daughter-in-law, Catherine (Jackson) Kowalczyk, West Chester; sisters, Catherine DePetro, Northern Cambria; and Ann Perigo, Aurora, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews. Member of All Saints Catholic Parish. Retired employee of the former Dorfman & Hoffman Garment Factory, Boswell. A former volunteer chairwoman for March of Dimes. Rose enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, gardening and tending to her roses. Viewing will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 409 Main St., Boswell, where vigil for the deceased will be held at 3 p.m. Friday. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at All Saints Church, Boswell, the Rev. Father Justin A. Ratajczak, celebrant. Committal, St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Boswell.
