William Leroy Birch

HOOVERSVILLE — BIRCH – William Leroy, 76, Hooversville, died Jan. 27, 2013, at Siemon’s Lakeview Manor. Born Feb. 23, 1936, in Hooversville, son of Harry W. and Florence V. (Fyock) Birch. Preceded in death by parents and sister, Shirley Kennedy. Survived by daughter, Billie Michele Berkey, and husband, Christopher, Hooversville; grandchildren, Brogan, Brynlyn and Briar Berkey; sisters and brothers, Betty (Charlie) Hickman, Ruby (Charles) Maxwell, Robert (Mary Ann) Birch, Nancy (Dwayne) Maxwell, Charles Birch and Pamela (Phillip) Hutzell; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was a Korean War Army veteran and retired from Emglo Corp. Member of Hooversville VFW. Memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 8, at St. Thomas Lutheran Church, Hooversville, Pastor Nila Cogan, officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Deaner Funeral Home Inc., P.O. Box 276, Hooversville, Pa. 15936, to assist with expenses. (
