PRESBYTERIAN HOME OF JOHNSTOWN — SELL (GORMAN) – Janet L. 88, Presbyterian Home of Johnstown, formerly of Richland, passed away peacefully Feb. 1, 2013, surrounded by family after battling a long illness. She is the daughter of Raymond and Myra (Hochard) Gorman. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Harry K.; daughter, Sandy Stager; and sister, Phyllis Walker. Survived by sons, James, married to the former Barbara Kleinfelder, and Richard, married to the former Teri Deyarmin, both of Johnstown; son-in-law, John Stager, Pittsburgh; sister, Mary Virginia “Honey” Shroyer, Charlotte, N.C.; grandchildren, Sean, Brent, Lee Ann, Robin, Jodi, Shannon, Angela, Cortney and Zach; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was a cashier at Gee Bee’s in Richland for many years as well as being a McCormick spice representative. Her children and grandchildren were her life, and she provided them all countless, fond and humorous memories. She lit up the room and touched the lives of all she met. Janet was a kind, generous and loving woman. She passed through her life doing harm to no one. The world will be a lesser place without her. We can all picture the feisty lady with blonde hair, pink lipstick and heels. Friends will be received from 2 p.m. until time of a celebration of her life at 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, at John Henderson Co. Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave., the Rev. Ray Streets Jr. Entombment, Richland Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Presbyterian Home of Johnstown Activity Fund, 787 Goucher St., Johnstown, Pa. 15905. The family would like to thank the staff who provided her with care, compassion and love during her final years.
