JOHNSTOWN — RUDGE – Warren Blair, 84, Johnstown, passed away Feb. 3, 2013, at Windber Hospice. Born Dec. 8, 1928, in Johnstown. Preceded in death by parents, Frank E. and Helen (Rudge) Thomas; and wife of 56 years, Patricia Jean (Kaufman). Survived by children, William, married to the former Sandy Gillin, Johnstown; Maryanne, wife of Rick Moyer, New Alexandria; Donna, wife of Dean Glessner, Johnstown; Susan, wife of Michael Stevens, Johnstown; Robert, married to the former Michele McCoy, Chambersburg; and David, married to the former Dawn Jones, Johnstown. Also survived by grandchildren, Pamela Osborne; Kristie, wife of Erik Nogueria; Michele, wife of Russell Custer; Hopemarie Moyer; Doug Glessner, and wife, Raeann; Dale Glessner, and wife, Kelli; Kellie Stevens, and fiance, Zachery Reed; Jason Stevens; Joel Machak, and wife, Julie; and Meagan Rudge. There also are nine great-grandchildren and his devoted dog, Herbie. Many thanks to Renee and Theresa from Windber Hospice who became like family to all of us. Member of St. Andrew’s Roman Catholic Church. He worked for Shank and Rudge, and then was in partnership with his good friend, Chuck McDermott, for many years as a remodeling contractor. He also was employed with Glenn Lehman Woodworking. Warren enjoyed his time working as a courier and security guard for First National Bank. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. A celebration Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6, at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church, the Rev. Angelo Patti. A reception luncheon will follow at The Crows Nest in Tire Hill. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Windber Hospice, 600 Somerset Ave., Windber, Pa. 15963, or the Humane Society of Cambria County, 743 Galleria Drive, Johnstown, Pa. 15904.
