Mary E. Kershbaumer

JOHNSTOWN — KERSHBAUMER – Mary E., 97, died July 31, 2013. Born Dec. 2, 1915, was the seventh child of 13 children. Preceded in death by parents, Harry and Mary Ellen Baker; and husband, Robert Emerick, who died in 1956. She was the last surviving member of her family. Mary is survived by daughters, Helen, wife of Ralph Boyle; and Judith, widow of William Rice. Also survived by seven grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Her grandchildren are Mary Ann George; Ralph Boyle Jr., and wife, Maria; Johnathan Rice, and wife, Laura; Robert Boyle, and wife, Daun; William Boyle, and wife, Susan; Mary Rice; and James Boyle. Mary had resided with daughter, Judith, and granddaughter, Mary Rice, since 1996. She was retired vice president of Federal Machine Corp. of Des Moines, Iowa. She loved to bake and cook. Friends will be received from 2 p.m. until time of vigil service at 6 p.m. Monday at Geisel Funeral Home, Johnstown, the Rev. Angelo Patti, officiating. Private interment at Richland Cemetery.
