OCEAN CITY, MD. — HEIMRICH – Debra Ann (Makin), 58, Ocean City, Md., sadly passed away unexpectedly Sunday, July 28, 2013, at University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center. Born May 9, 1955, in Colver, beloved daughter of Robert A. and Ann (Larimer) Makin. Survived by loving husband, Robert Heimrich, Ocean City; her beloved dogs, Lady and Clyde; her cat, Chance; dearest friend and supporter, R.J. White; and these siblings: Steve (Darlene), Bobby, Becky (Joe) Klezek and Sandy “Bo” (Brian) Sossong, along with many loved nieces and nephews. Deb also is survived by brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Billy and Carolyn Heimrich, and mother-in-law, Betty. A special thank you to many family, extended family and Facebook friends for all the love and support for Deb throughout her life. Debby was a graduate of the Class of 1973 at Central Cambria High School and attended Lycoming College. Shortly after graduation, Debby moved to the “beach” and made it her lifelong home, where as requested, her ashes will be scattered in the ocean. Debby cherished her family, loved the Steelers and was famous for her witty comments and picture cartoons as well as playing Scrabble at the kitchen table with Mom and, of course, entertaining her Facebook friends with conversation and games. Because of Deb’s love of reading and rescuing animals, memorial donations may be made to the Worcester County (Md.) Humane Society or the Ebensburg Public Library in Deb’s memory. A service to celebrate Debby’s life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, at her lifelong church, South Ebensburg United Church of Christ, Wilmore Road, Pastor Charles Davis officiating.
