William T. Kakabar

DUNLO — KAKABAR – William T., 83, Dunlo, entered into new life June 18, 2014, at Memorial Medical Center. Born Sept. 25, 1930, in Ruthford, son of John E. and Olive F. (Woolaston) Kakabar. Preceded in death by parents; wife of 60 years, the former Theresa Valko; and sisters, Ruth Piekarski and Mary Selepak. Survived by children, Mary Frances Kakabar, wife of John J. Pucul, Reading, Pa.; Donna Marie Kakabar, wife of David D. Thomas, Hooversville; and Thomas J. Kakabar, married to the former Amy J. Grattan, Llanfair; and grandchildren, Laura T. Pucul, wife of Daniel Eiklor, Beaumont, Texas; Allison A. Pucul, Orlando, Fla.; Rachel B. Thomas, wife of Jonathon Kimmel, Davidsville; Levi G. Thomas, Hooversville; and Kimberly A. Kakabar and Renae F. Kakabar, both of Llanfair. Brother of Ronald J. Kakabar, Beaverdale; and Dorothy Selepak, Beaverdale. He retired after 40-plus years of service as a trackman with PRR, PennCentral, Conrail and Northfork Southern railroads. Member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church and Adams Township Class of 1949. Life member of Beaverdale Sportsmen’s Association. The family wishes to thank the Conemaugh Home Health staff. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Jean H. Kinley Funeral Home, Beaverdale, where vigil for the deceased will be held Sunday evening. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Father Charles Bodziak, celebrant. Committal, Corpus Christi Cemetery, Dunlo.
