EAST CONEMAUGH — GOOD – Nellie Grace, 95, formerly of East Conemaugh, died June 27, 2014, at Memorial Medical Center. Born Jan. 12, 1919, in East Conemaugh, daughter of the late George Dewey and Sarah May (Graham) Pahel. Preceded in death by her beloved husband, William H. Good, whom she married July 1, 1941, and who died May 30, 1989. Survived by her daughter, Pamela Murphy, Northfield, Vt.; grandchildren, Erin Murphy King, and husband, Roger King, and their daughter, Nelle, Barre, Vt.; Meghan Murphy, Vacaville, Calif.; and John D. Murphy, and his daughters, Ashley and Kacie Murphy, Illinois. Life member and ruling elder of the former Conemaugh Presbyterian Church. Member of Johnstown Chapter 183 OES, Decapolis Shrine 29 W.S. of J., American Bible Society and Johnstown Church Women United. She had worked for Penn Traffic Co. in the personnel office, and prior to that, worked at the rationing board, was secretary to the East Conemaugh Civil Defense Corp. during World War II and had worked for the supervising principal at East Conemaugh High School in 1940. She graduated from the former Conemaugh High School in 1937 and from Cambria-Rowe Business College in 1940. Friends will be received from 2 p.m. until the hour of service at 3 p.m. Tuesday at John Henderson Co. Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave. Interment, Richland Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to American Heart Association or American Cancer Society.
