VINCO — LEY – Francis E. Jr. “Jay,” 73, Vinco, passed away June 30, 2014, at Memorial Medical Center. Born May 26, 1941, in Nanty Glo, son of the late Francis and Agnes (Gebacz) Ley. Preceded in death by granddaughter, Kacy Straub; brother, Thomas; and sister, Mary Thomas. Survived by wife of 51 years, Diane M. (Devlin) Ley; and children, Robyn (Frank) Wells, Randy (Vickie) Ley, Christopher (girlfriend, Melissa Ramach) Ley and Brian (Pamela) Ley. Also survived by grandchildren, Tyler Straub, Thomas (fiancee, Carly Bozella), Cameron, Katie, Charlotte, Owen and Oliver; as well as his beloved pet, Maxie. Member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church, Mundys Corner. A U.S. Navy veteran, and retired from U.S. Postal Service. Jay enjoyed fishing, hunting and traveling in the motor home. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Askew-Houser Funeral Homes Inc., Nanty Glo, where vigil prayer service will be held. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. John Vianney Church, the Very Rev. Andrew C. Stanko, celebrant. Committal to follow at Holy Name Cemetery, Ebensburg. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jay’s memory may be made to Cambria County Humane Society or PAWS House. (
