ST. BENEDICT — DAVIDSON – John C. “Jack,” 90, St. Benedict, died Oct. 22, 2010, at home. Born Sept. 24, 1920, in Clymer, son of David C. and Edith (Reed) Davidson. Preceded in death by parents; wife, Esther (Fisher) Davidson, who died April 6, 1999; son, John Cyril; daughter, Linda Kay; brothers, Bobby and David Davidson; and sisters, Margaret Emerick and Agnes Edwards. Survived by daughters, Judith Ann Yablinsky, DuBois; and Diane Warner (Fred Woods), St. Benedict; grandchildren, Johnny Tocarchick, Jeffrey John Warner and Heather Lynn Warner; and great-grandchildren, Larry John, Alex and Tristan. Also survived by special nieces, Barbara Hughes, Belsano; and Bonnie Miller, Hastings. John also will be missed by loyal companions, Oscar Myer and Jimmy Dean, the family pets. John was the last surviving member of his immediate family. World War II Navy veteran and 60-year member of American Legion Post 569, Spangler. Retired from Barnes & Tucker Co. Member of St. Benedict Presbyterian Church, where he served as an elder for 50 years. Life member of Rembrandt Club, St. Benedict. John enjoyed the outdoors especially fishing and camping but his greatest love was spending time with his family. The Warner family would like to acknowledge very special family friend, Shirley Pagano, for the many kindnesses she has extended during the years, also Father Ted Rematt and Horizon Hospice for their excellent care and support and Pastor Marty Cartmell and Jim Whited for their many years of friendship and spiritual support, and Dr. Matthew Dvorchak for his excellent care and compassion. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Moriconi Funeral Home Inc., Northern Cambria. Funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at St. Benedict Presbyterian Church, Pastor Marty Cartmell, officiating. Interment, Greenwood Cemetery, Indiana. Military honors by local veterans organizations.
