WARREN — LIEB – Richard W. Sr., 66, Warren, Pa., passed away Monday, Nov. 19, 2012, at his home. Born July 1, 1946, in Nicktown, son of the late Walter and Susan (Smarsh) Lieb. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served his country in the Vietnam War. Rick had hands of gold and a passion to make everything from birdhouses to small toys. He loved to fish, garden and cheer for the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was a humble man, who loved his family and would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. He was blessed to have two great loves in his life, Carol (Phillips) Lieb of Akron, Ohio, and Evelyn “Blue Star” Carr of West Topsham, Vt. Survived by children, Dawn Dobersztyn, Winchester, Va.; Fred Lieb, Punta Gorda, Fla.; Richard Lieb Jr., Akron, Ohio; Jason Lieb, Tallmadge, Ohio; Janice Baggetta, Kent, Ohio; Andrea Yacobucci, Tallmadge, Ohio; and Brenda Lieb, Akron, Ohio; and 18 grandchildren. Also survived by brothers, Walter Lieb, Fred Lieb, Tom Lieb and Rodney Lieb; and sisters, Janet Hecht, Judy Morley, Margie Ratchford, Joan Balough, Linda Hoag, Mary Jo Lieb, Tina Warner, Debbie Loughran, Charlene Royer and Regina Waksmonski. Preceded in death by sisters, Kay Scalan, Ethel Peel, Barbara Lewellyn and Patricia Vargo; and brother, Kenneth Lieb. Funeral Mass will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 30, at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Nicktown, Father Jude Brady, officiating. Burial at the St. Nicholas Cemetery will follow.
