Lou Helsel

RICHLAND TOWNSHIP — HELSEL – Lou, 82, Richland Township, died Nov. 24, 2012, at Windber Hospice.  Born Oct. 16, 1930, in Hulbert, Okla., daughter of Albra and Gladys (Eatherly) Baker. Preceded in death by father; husband, Walter G. Helsel Sr.; son, Walter G. Helsel Jr.; and daughter, Rose Hill. Survived by mother, Richland Township; sons, Edward and Michael Benz; and grandchildren, Shannon; Dawn, and husband, Shawn; Christopher, and wife, Wendy; Joey, and wife, Pam; Cindy; Katie, and husband, Brian; Michael; and Leigh. Also survived by great-grandchildren, Haley, Treston, Alyssa, Hannah, Sydney, Sage, Ashley, Briana, Alyssa, Tyler, Marissa, Darren, Kaylen and Travis; sister-in-law, Violet Shuster, Windber; and numerous nieces and nephews. Lou was the most influential woman in the lives of her family and friends.  She will be truly missed. Her family would like to thank the hospice staff for the excellent care Lou received during her illness. At her request, there will be no viewing, visitation or service.
