EUCLID, OHIO — SHEREDY – John L. “U.J.,” 85, Euclid, Ohio, passed away Sunday, May 11, 2014, at Hillcrest Hospital, Mayfield Heights, Ohio. Born Jan. 26, 1929, in Allport, Pa., he had been a longtime resident of Euclid. He was a supervisor for TRW (Valve Division) in Cleveland for 35 years and after retiring, he was a landscaper for Cirino’s Landscaping for 19 years. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing and especially the annual family golf outing. Survived by his wife of 55 years, Florence (Hromulak); children, Elaine and Gregory; sisters, Dorothy Gallagher, Julianna Frontino, Barbara Mehall and Carolyn Barone; brothers, Edward, Albert, Ronald and Raymond; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Julia and Jack Sheredy; and baby siblings, Teresa and Stanley. Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Zevnik-Cosic Funeral Home, 28890 Chardon Road, Willoughby Hills, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at SS. Robert & William Parish, 361 E. 260th St., Euclid, Ohio. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township, Ohio.
