MINERAL POINT — STRUSHENSKY – Daniel G., 81, Mineral Point, died July 8, 2014, in Greensburg. Born Feb. 28, 1933, in Johnstown, son of Harry and Anna (Maslak) Strushensky. Preceded in death by his parents; wife, Beverly (Oswalt) Strushensky; daughter, Diane Strushensky; and brother, John. Survived by his children, Jean Ann, wife of Rick Rose, Greensburg; and Dorothy Strushensky, Richard Strushensky and Carol “Bubbles” Pavlick; all of Johnstown; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Margaret Troska, Catherine Strushensky and Dorothy Cernansky, all of Johnstown; Helen Trapanotto, Delaware; and Mildred Youler, West Virginia; and brothers, Michael (Cathy “Sis”), Edward (Joyce) and Richard “Muzzy,” all of Johnstown. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Dan was a U.S. Army combat veteran of the Korean War, where he received the United Nations Service Medal, Korean Service Medal and National Defense Medal. Dan was an active member of the Parkhill American Legion Post 970. He was retired from Bethlehem Steel Corp. with many years of service as a millwright and operated the electric furnace. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc., 710 Broad St., where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, the Rev. Gary Tustin, officiating. Interment, Benshoff Hill Cemetery, with military honors by VFW Menoher Post 155 Ritual Team. Condolences may be offered to the family at
