Samuel C. Johnson Sr.

JOHNSTOWN — JOHNSON – Samuel C. Sr., 58, Johnstown, passed away July 9, 2014, unexpectedly at home. Born Nov. 16, 1955, son of Samuel and Fern (Poindexter) Johnson. Preceded in death by parents; his sister, Carol; and brother, Dale Johnson. Survived by his daughters, LaDonna Johnson and Royelle and Raynelle Barnette, all of Pittsburgh; sons, Samuel Johnson Jr., Salix; and Jerome Johnson, Johnstown; stepson, Jason Minahan, Johnstown; grandchildren, Jamir Johnson, Shautiere Philips and Makiye Barnette; sister, Jean (John) Comer; and brother, Clay Johnson, all of Pittsburgh; brother, Keith (Sheila) Johnson, Charlotte, N.C.; also a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Sam was an Army veteran and worked as a watch repairman most of his life. Family and friends will be received from 10 a.m. Saturday until time of his homegoing service at 11 a.m. at Moskal-Reid Funeral Home, West End, the Rev. Dr. Ralph E. Johnson, officiating.
