LILLY — GODISH – Fred A., 75, Lilly, went to his eternal rest Jan. 21, 2014, at his residence with his loved ones by his side. Born Dec. 15, 1938, in Lilly, son of the late Anthony and Amelia (Majchrowicz) Godish. Preceded in death by wife, Helen (Shuty) Godish; brother, Thad Godish; and sister-in-law, Marcie (Washchalk) Godish. Loving father of children, Rebecca, and husband, Paul Detwiler; Donna Helsel, and husband, Shawn Helsel; Virginia, and husband, John Rock; and Raymond, and special friend, Melanie. Also survived by very special loving friend, Regina; also grandchildren, P.J. and Justin Detwiler, Shayna and Tyler Helsel; and Madyson Rock. Brother of Stasia Mischock; Tillie, and husband, Sam Farrah; and John, and wife, Doris Godish. Also loving friends, Mary Lou and Irene; sister-in-law, Diane Godish; and numerous nieces and nephews. Fred was a 1956 graduate of Lilly-Washington High School, a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran and a member of Lilly American Legion. He retired from Tri-State Belting Co. He loved his gardening, walking and polkas. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Thomas F. Cloherty Funeral Home, Lilly, where vigil for the deceased will be held. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Catherine of Siena Parish, Duncansville. Committal, Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery, Lilly. Military rites by Lilly American Legion and Lilly VFW. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Grane Hospital Care, 106 Zee Plaza, Hollidaysburg, Pa. 16648.
