Karl Wildner Sr.

GEISTOWN — WILDNER – Karl Sr. “Doc,” 87, Geistown, died Jan. 22, 2014, at Memorial Medical Center. Born Aug. 25, 1926, in Johnstown, son of Louis and Anna (Weiss) Wildner. Preceded in death by parents; wife, Helen (Vamos) Wildner; brothers, Joseph, Louis, John and Herbert; and sister, Anna Marie. Survived by children, Robert J. (Barbara Daniels), Shinglehouse, Pa.; Karl Jr. (Sharon Sobecky), Hooversville; and Beverly Jean (Keith Wilson), Minter, Alabama. Also survived by six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Also survived by sister, Hilda Honchar, and her daughter, Ginger, Oakland. Member of St. Benedict Catholic Church and was a retired superintendent from Grandview Cemetery. A U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. Friends received from 2 to 7 p.m. Friday at Henderson Funeral Home, East Hills, 2503 Bedford St., where vigil for the deceased will be held. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Benedict Church, Father David S. Peles, celebrant. Committal, St. Joseph Cemetery.
