RICHLAND TOWNSHIP — SHILEY – Lucy, 82, Richland Township, went to be with the Lord Jan. 31, 2014, at Arbutus Park Manor. Born Aug. 13, 1931, in Windber, daughter of Patsy and Angeline (Leonard) Dona. Preceded in death by her parents; son, Paul Jr.; and several brothers and sisters. Survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Paul J. Shiley, Richland Township; son, Thomas J., Richland Township; grandchildren, Desiree, Kelsey, Olivia and Jessi; brothers, Joseph (Marie), Richland Township; and Lindy (Irma), Kansas City, Mo.; sisters, Connie Lenkowski, Lancaster; Bernadette (Richard) Mickle, Villages, Fla.; and Patty Nelson, Minneapolis, Minn.; special daughter-in-law, Sally Drager, Johnstown; and numerous nieces and nephews. Lucy was a 1949 graduate of Richland High School. She was employed at St. Benedict Catholic School for 12 years as the manager of the cafeteria. Lucy was an active member of St. Benedict Catholic Church. She enjoyed casino trips, cruises with her family and bowling for St. Benedict’s Ladies Duck Pin Bowling League. Lucy loved her entire family and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. At Lucy’s request, there will be no public viewing. Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral Mass at 2 p.m. Monday at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Father David S. Peles, pastor. Committal, St. Joseph Mausoleum. The family is being served by Harris Funeral Home, 500 Cherry Lane, Richland. Lucy’s family would like to thank the entire staff at Arbutus Park Manor for their loving service.
