GALLITZIN — LONGOSKY – Eleanor R., 92, a resident of Garvey Manor, formerly of Gallitzin, died Feb. 25, 2014, at UPMC Altoona. Born Nov. 4, 1921, in Gallitzin, daughter of the late Carlo and Zelmira (Bertoccini) Fabbri. Preceded in death by her husband, Bruno C., on Jan. 22, 1978; sisters, Agnes Bricca, Theresa Roach, Alice Fabbri, Nellie Tragon and Louise Sprouse; and brothers, Gino and Fedo. Survived by her son, Carl (Susan), Bradford; granddaughters, Sarah (Sean) Cusick, Portland, Ore.; and Kate Longosky, New York, N.Y.; great-granddaughter, Emma Cusick; sister, Victoria Gjurich, Gallitzin; and numerous nieces and nephews. Eleanor enjoyed crocheting and needle work, and was a bartender at the former Keystone Hotel, Gallitzin. A 1939 graduate of Gallitzin High School. Member of the Legion of Mary of St. Aloysius Church Cresson and St. Demetrius Catholic Church, Gallitzin, where funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, the Rev. Albert Ledoux, celebrant. Committal, St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Cresson. Friends received from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at Gibbons Funeral Home, 301 Church St., Gallitzin, where vigil service will be held Friday. (
