Jude Scott Moore

JOHNSTOWN — MOORE – Jude Scott, 38, Johnstown, formerly of Portage, sadly and unexpectedly passed away June 24, 2013, in Johnstown. Born March 23, 1975, in Johnstown, son of Gregory Scott Moore and Roxane (Drinosky) Moore-Hauger. Preceded in death by father; paternal grandparents, Nedward and Anna Moore; and maternal grandmother, Dolores Drinosky. Survived by his mother, Roxane, wife of Dr. William Hauger, Johnstown; and maternal grandfather, Eugene Drinosky, Portage. He will be sadly missed by his sister, Jessica Leigh Moore; and  nephew, Nerye Hinton. A 1993 graduate of Portage Area High School and then Admiral Peary vo-tech. Following in his fathers footsteps, Jude was a welder and was employed by Lincoln Construction. Proud member of UMWA. His favorite hobbies were spending time with his favorite companion, Duke, his weimaraner; hunting; fishing; watching NASCAR; golf; and football. Jude was very kind and gentle; he could build or fix anything; he would lend a hand to anyone who needed him; and was a faithful and loyal friend to classmates and co-workers. He was loved by many aunts and uncles and became a big brother to many of his cousins. Jude admired his father, Greg, and faithfully attended his grave by placing purple flowers there every year. He also was very devoted to his loving mother, Roxane. Friends received from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Serenko-Claar Funeral Home, PC, Portage, where memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Father Andrew Draper, officiating. Committal service will be private.
