William B. Lawton

SUMMERHILL — LAWTON – William B. “Bill,” 73, Summerhill, died Oct. 6, 2013, at Memorial Medical Center.  Born July 28, 1940, in Buffalo, N.Y., son of Wilfred and Grace (Kelly) Lawton. Preceded in death by parents; sister, Sandra Lawrinowicz; and brother, Michael. Survived by loving wife of 46 years, Doris (Patrick) Lawton, whom he married Sept. 9, 1967; sons, Brian, married to Mindi McClelland; Andrew, married to Cara Pitone; and Daniel, married to Jennifer Rokosh; and grandchildren, Briana, wife of Andrew Holdridge; Kevin; Owen; and Elise, Ashleigh and Ryan. Bill was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran having served from 1960 to 1964.  He was a miner for Bethlehem Mines Corp. and retired from SCI-Laurel Highlands where he served as a corrections officer. Member of Laurel Run Rod & Gun Club and Raystown Stripers Club. At the request of the deceased, there will be no viewing or visitation. Cremation service by Charles O.
