NORTHERN CAMBRIA — LeGARS – Albert W. Sr. “Webster,” 82, Northern Cambria, died April 16, 2013, at Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. Born Dec. 3, 1930, in Barnesboro R.D., son of Daniel and Philomene (Goaziou) LeGars. Preceded in death by parents and sisters, Jane and Marie. Survived by wife of 54 years, the former Mary Jane Long; children, Corrine, and husband, Michael Putt, Cherry Tree; Albert Jr., and wife, Sherry (Siders); and Daniel, both of Northern Cambria; Kenneth, and wife, Janet (Fink), Tyrone; Rebecca, and husband, Earl Gardner, Indiana, Pa.; Timothy, and wife, Kelly (Baum), Mosscreek; and Aaron, and wife, Lorie (Roles), Casco, Maine; and grandchildren, Michael, Eleshia and Nathanael Putt; Seth and Kiersten Gardner; Grace and Zachary LeGars; Makada Maines; Breanna Kuzilla; and Caleb, Joel and Allison LeGars. Brother of Henry and Philomene Babiak, both of Northern Cambria; Caroline Turik, Akron, Ohio; Rose Swansboro, Cadiz, Ohio; Loretta Martoya, Detroit, Mich.; and Richard, Indianapolis, Ind. A U.S. Army veteran. He worked as a general laborer. He enjoyed his family and his garden. Friends received from 1 p.m. until time of funeral service at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Long-Contres Funeral Home Inc., Northern Cambria, the Rev. Chris Massey. Interment, North Barnesboro Cemetery.
