David A. Holtzman

NAPLES, FLA. — HOLTZMAN – David A., 50, formerly of Johnstown and Somerset, died June 27, 2013, at Avow Hospice Center, Naples, Fla., after a courageous battle with colon cancer. Born Jan. 21, 1963, in Baltimore, Md. Preceded in death by mother, Annabelle Holtzman. Survived by father, Donald A Holtzman, and fiancee, Nancy Williams (Kepyach); daughter, Kara Anne Holtzman, Johnstown; and sister, Terrie Anne Cardone, and niece, Lilly Cardone, Seattle, Wash. Also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. David was a graduate of Conemaugh Township High School. David was an Eagle Scout and was an active member of Boy Scouts of America. He was a retired Pennsylvania State Trooper, where he was recognized for being a first responder for Flight 93 on 9/11 and Quecreek Miners. He was very generous with his time and donations in the hope of finding a cure for cancer. At the request of David, there will be no visitation. A graveside memorial will be held at Grandview Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Please make contributions to the American Cancer Society.
