McINTYRE — SETLOCK – Edward S., 68, McIntyre, died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012, in McIntyre. He was born in 1944 in Indiana to Edward S. and Mary Catherine Rotosky Setlock. Ed was a member of Church of the Good Shepherd, Kent; Knights of Columbus; Father McNeilus Lodge 1481, Indiana; PSEA; Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees; NEA; C&Y Sportsman Club; and a social member of Homer City American Legion. He was presently a board member of Indiana County Transit Authority. Ed also was involved in the creation of the McIntyre Veterans Memorial. He was employed as a history teacher for Apollo-Ridge High School for 30 years, where he also coached and was the athletic director. Ed also was involved with Young Township Little League and Senior League. He was an avid sports fan with unbelievable knowledge of sports history in Indiana County. Ed loved to travel extensively, visiting Germany nine times, attended the Los Angeles Olympics, numerous Penn State bowl games and two Steelers Super Bowls. Ed is survived by one sister, Sister Eric Marie “Marcella Setlock,” McIntyre and Cresson; his brothers-in-law, George Jerto, Glastonbury, Conn.; and two aunts, Rose Rotosky and Jean Rotosky, both of Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister, Cassie Jerto. Friends will be received from 1 to 5 and 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Church of the Good Shepherd, Kent, the Rev. Father Charles Esposito, celebrant. Interment will be made in Iselin Union Cemetery. (
