BOSWELL — BURKE – Burnetta F. (Humbert), 96, Boswell, died Nov. 28, 2012, at the home of her daughter, Linda, in Manassas, Va. Born March 20, 1916, in Milford, daughter of Earl E. and Mary Ann (Donelson) Humbert. Preceded in death by parents; husband of 67 years, Charles F., on Oct. 28, 1997; brothers, Earl, Oran, William “Bud,” John, Roy and Allen Humbert; sisters, Edna Foust, Estella Gardner, Janice Humbert and Rosie Yoder; and sons-in-law, Bill Jolly, Stanley “Tiny” Baraniak and Richard Schmidt. Survived by daughters, Arlene Jolly, The Woodlands, Texas; Nancy, married to William Jurca, Powhatan, Va.; Caryl Baraniak, Everett; and Linda Schmidt, Manassas, Va.; 16 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 19 great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Irene Sarver. Burnetta worked at the former Shonberg’s Department Store in Boswell for 27 years. She loved to quilt, fish and garden, and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and special friend and neighbor to all she knew. Her passing will be a loss to all who loved her. Viewing will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 409 Main St., Boswell, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, the Rev. Larry C.
