INTERLACHEN, FLA. — DIBBLE – Richard, 90, Interlachen, Fla., formerly of Summerhill, died Dec. 9, 2012, at Lake City VA Medical Center, Lake City, Fla. Born Aug. 8, 1922, in Hastings, son of Harry C. and Lillian A. (Fleitz) Dibble. Preceded in death by parents; infant son, Richard; son, Thomas H.; sisters, Elva Bigelow, Mary Sharp, Thelma Crilley, Louise Pabian and Betty Beiswenger; and brothers, Floyd, William, Howard and Arnold. Survived by daughter, Linda Dively, Interlachen, Fla.; grandchildren, Becky, wife of Jim Lancaster, Interlachen, Fla.; Jill Zdunczyk, and companion, Jeff Orban, Mechanicsburg; Darlene, wife of William Rivera, Interlachen, Fla.; Lillian, wife of Michael Storey Jr., Portage; and Ron (Thelma) Dibble, Portage; brothers, Harry Jr., Carrolltown; and Henry, St. Michael; and numerous nieces and nephews. Army veteran of World War II, having served in the Pacific Theater. Richard was always proud of his work in the Civilian Conservation Corps during the Great Depression. He was a coal miner for Pennsylvania Coal & Coke Corp., Berwind-White Coal Mining Co. and Johnstown Coal & Coke Co. and retired from UPJ as a groundskeeper. Charter member of St. Michael Volunteer Fire Company. Member of St. Michael American Legion Post 551, the former Mainline Police Association and Adams Township Police Department. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home Inc., South Fork, where funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday by the Rev. David Butler.
