NOBLESVILLE, IND. — HYNDS – Alexander “Sandy” Hunter, born July 14, 1940, in Beaverdale, passed away July 7, 2013, in Noblesville, Ind. Alex was a registered engineer with the Ohio Department of Transportation for 31 years, the City of Riverside, Ohio, for five years, a public works superintendent with City of Huber Heights, Ohio, for three years. Alex was preceded in death by parents, John and Margaret Allan Hunter Hynds; brothers, John (Ann White) Hynds and William Hunter Hynds; and sisters, Anna Mae (Edward) Benko and Margaret Jean (Julius) Gmeiner. Alexander is survived by his wife of 51 years, Linda May Clarry Hynds; children, DiAnna (Rodney Bales) Hynds, John Hynds, Christina (Shawn) Wenstrom and Brian Hynds; granddaughter, Sebring Hynds; sister-in-law, Lena Tinerralo Hynds; and numerous nephews and nieces. Memorial service to celebrate the life of Alex will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, July 13, at Flanner and Buchanan-Hamilton Memorial Park, 4180 Westfield Rd., Westfield, Ind. 46062, with visitation from 2 p.m. until the time of the service. Inurnment, Hamilton Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Health Network North Cancer Center or Aseracare Hospice.
