Ethel A. Bombatch

JOHNSTOWN — BOMBATCH – Ethel A., 95, formerly of Lower Yoder Township, died Dec. 18, 2013, at Richland Woods. Born May 16, 1918, in Johnstown, daughter of Joseph and Harriet (Hayes) Alberter. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Carl Bombatch; daughter-in- law, Karen (Medice) Bombatch; sisters, Esther Grachan and Goldie Rayner; and brother, Francis “Bud” Alberter. Survived by sons, James, married to the former Susan Glover, Johnstown; and Donald Bombatch, Grove City; and grandchildren, Renee, married to Stephen Gray; Natalie Bombatch; and Zachary, and fiancee, Chelsea Harrison. Also survived by sisters, Betty Jo, and husband, Robert Ashcom, New Florence; Jean Mora, Murrysville; and Darla, and husband, Darrel Rummel, Johnstown; and sisters-in-law, Shirley Alberter and Rita Bombatch; also numerous nieces and nephews. Ethel was a retired school teacher with both Lower Yoder and Greater Johnstown school districts. Private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment, Grandview Cemetery.
