SIDMAN — PLASAY – Mary M., 85, Sidman, died Jan. 5, 2014, at Maple Winds Care Center, Portage. Born May 11, 1928, in South Fork, daughter of William and Marie (Burger) Diamond. Preceded in death by parents; husband, George E. Plasay, who died, March 15, 1981; infant sister, Anna Marie Diamond; sisters, Pauline Dalton, Alice Smith and Margaret Krestar;  brother, William Diamond; and twin siblings, Geraldine Cummings and Gerald Diamond. Survived by twin sisters, Eileen Aanrud, Cottage Grove, Ore.; and Arleen Diamond, Sidman; and sister, Helen McClemens, Sidman; many wonderful nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews; dear friend, Diane Mayes; and numerous other beloved family and friends. Mary was fond of nature and could often be found outdoors; feeding birds, fishing at a quiet lake, or in a berry patch picking fruit for jams and jellies. Member of St. Michael Catholic Church, St. Michael. At Mary’s request, there will be no viewing or visitation.  Friends are invited to attend funeral Mass which will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Michael Catholic Church, by Father Charles F. Bodziak. Committal of urn, St. James Cemetery, South Fork. The family wishes to acknowledge with special thanks, the staff at Maple Winds Care Center for all their help and support. (
