EBENSBURG — BUCCI – Paul G., 92, Ebensburg, died Aug. 4, 2012, Arbutus Park Manor, Johnstown. Born April 28, 1920, in Dilltown, son of Frank and Rose (Machionia) Bucci. Preceded in death by parents; brothers, George and William; and sisters, Edith Rudolph and Eva Ponchione. Survived by wife, the former Helen (Falcone) Bucci; sons, Dennis, married to the former Linda (Yacisin) Bucci, Pittsburgh, and Mark, married to the former Barbara (Roland) Bucci, Johnstown; and grandchildren, JoAnna and Gary, both Pittsburgh, and Lauren Kudawiec, Leah and Ian, all of Johnstown. Brother of Dominik Bucci, Nanty Glo, and Yola Mash, Ebensburg. Army veteran of World War II serving in Figi and Guadalcanal (Solomon Island) from 1942 to 1944. Member of Knights of Columbus Council 522 and VFW Post 4963, both of Ebensburg. Bishop Carroll golf coach and volunteered with BC athletics for 25 years. Member of Pleasant Valley Golf Course for 15 years and Ebensburg Country Club for 10 years. Paul has six holes in one in his great life. Member of Holy Name Catholic Church for 44 years and served as an usher. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed taking his gun for a walk. Paul enjoyed watching his grandson play hockey and soccer and his granddaughters’ cheerleading competition in Florida. Owner/operator of Centry Cleaners, and was in the dry cleaning business for 50 years. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Matevish and Matevish Funeral Home, Ebensburg. Funeral Mass at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Holy Name Catholic Church, Ebensburg, the Rev. Monsignor Arnold L. Gaus.
