Ronald Ray McClemens Sr.

ELTON — McCLEMENS – Ronald Ray Sr., 77, Elton, died March 12, 2014, at Windber Hospice. Born July 8, 1936, in Hollsopple, son of Nora M. (McClemens) Mastillo. Preceded in death by his mother.  Survived by his wife of 55 years, Dorothy Marie (Gearhart), Elton; children, Selina M., married to Curtis P. Brown, New Bern, N.C.; Ronald Ray Jr., married to Natalie M. (Gross), Elton; and Shanna M., married to Gregory L. Gipson, Emmett, Idaho; grandchildren, Conner L., Morgan M. and Ian L. Gipson, Emmett, Idaho; brother, John Mastillo, and wife, Wanda, Jerome; and sister, Alice J. Mastillo, Hollsopple. Also survived by five nephews, and one niece and their families and numerous cousins. Ron was the assistant to the vice president construction management/A&E for Crown American Corp. with 32 years of service. He was a 32nd degree Mason with the Valley of Altoona Association. Member of Greater Johnstown Lodge 0538 F&AM and a past member of Windber Jaycee’s.  He loved working on his home and taking care of his family. Ron was a veteran having served with the U.S. Marine Corp. At the request of the deceased, there will be no viewing. Friends are invited to a memorial service at 11 a.m. Monday, March 17, 2014, at Hindman Funeral Homes and Crematory Inc., 1521 Frankstown Road, Nancy Hoover, officiating. Military honors will be provided by Conemaugh Valley Marine Corps League Detachment 287 Ritual Team. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Windber Hospice or the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital.
