Ernest W. Reinhold

RICHLAND WOODS — REINHOLD – Ernest W., 88, a resident at Richland Woods, formerly of Upper Yoder Township, died April 26, 2013, at Memorial Medical Center.  He was born Sept. 16, 1924, in Germany, son of the late Ernest and Helen (Heyer) Reinhold.  He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Gloria M. (Meder) Reinhold, and sister, Elfrieda.  He is survived by his daughter, Rebecca Reinhold, Pittsburgh; sister, Betty Prosser, Springfield, Va.; and several nieces and nephews.  Ernest moved to the United States as a child, first living in Bethlehem, Pa., where he worked at Bethlehem Steel, then serving his country during World War II in the Army Air Corps. He then was transferred to Johnstown, where he worked for Bethlehem Steel as an engineer designing rail cars until his retirement.  He enjoyed model railroading, bowling, working in his yard and doing puzzles.  Ernest was a member of First Lutheran Church since moving to Johns- town.  Friends will be received   from 1 p.m. until time of service at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Picking-Treece-Bennett Mortuary Inc., 921 Menoher Blvd., the Rev. Eleanor Abarno officiating.  Entombment, Grandview Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to First Lutheran Church, 415 Vine St., Johnstown, Pa. 15901 or Parkinson’s Disease Foundation at in Ernest’s memory.  (
