WINDBER — KOVAL – Louise G., 82, Windber. Our beloved mother lost her fight with cancer on April 1, 2013. Born April 3, 1930, in Hollsopple, daughter of John and Victoria (Roper) Muzia. Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Paul P. Koval, who passed in 1975. She is survived by her daughter; Lisa J., wife of Don D. Pritt, Smithfield, Va., and son, Paul G. Koval, and wife, Nancy, Middletown, Md.; also two granddaughters, Katherine and Kira – they were the sun, moon and stars to her. She raised her two children on her own. She worked for a period of time at John’s Market in Windber, but then found her true calling as a cook for Windber Hospital, where she worked for many years. In 1983, her life changed when she met Andrew Csordas, who has been her constant life companion. Since then, the two of them shared a world of adventure and good times up until a few months of her death. She also is survived by two brothers, Andrew and Philip, and two sisters, Vicki and Alice. Louise was a strong, kind woman who loved to cook, bake and do canning. Her baked goods and homemade jelly was a prize that friends and family alike could not wait to have. She loved to garden and play in her flower beds. She enjoyed the outdoors and spent as much time as possible on her back porch. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to her next door neighbors, Steve and Heather, who were always there for anything she needed. The family also wishes for expressions of sympathy to take the form of Masses at a church of their choice. There will be no viewing or visitation, however, family and friends are invited to attend a graveside committal service at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 2, 2013, at SS. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Cemetery, 4th Street, Windber, the Very Rev. Leonard E. Voytek, VF, officiating. Arrangements by the William Kisiel Funeral Home, Windber.
