EBENSBURG — HOOVER – Francis C. “Frank,” 62, Ebensburg, has joined his family and friends at the side of our heavenly Father in eternal peace Feb. 16, 2014. Born May 17, 1951, son of Richard and Hilda (Holtz) Hoover. Preceded in death by his father, Richard; and father-in-law, George Semko. Frank is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Janet (Semko), and daughter, Kristi Jan (his “little punkin”), whom he loved, adored and was extremely proud of. Also survived by brothers and sisters, Patricia Derr (Paul Nelen), Donald (Patricia), Henry (Renee), Paul, Eugene (Karen), Mary (Jim, deceased) Crawhorn, Brian (Alissa), Mark, Helene (Raymond) Barber, Kathleen (David) Dutile, Victor (Bo), Nancy (Robert) Erauth and Fay (Joseph) Hutsky; mother-in-law, “Genie” Semko; sisters-in-law, Karen (Fred) Mazzarella and Jo-Ann Semko; and brother-in-law, George (Denise) Semko; also many nieces and nephews. Frank spent 22 years as a coal miner. He loved the outdoors, enjoyed spending time in the woods, cutting timber, fishing, fixing a fire and took great pride in his beautiful garden. He was known for his welcoming presence and his love of life. Friends received from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at Matevish and Matevish Funeral Home, Ebensburg. Funeral Mass will be concelebrated by Father Bernard Grega and Father Allen Zeth at 11 a.m. Saturday at Holy Family Catholic Church, Colver. Entombment, Holy Name Mausoleum, Ebensburg.
