NORTH CAROLINA — BALDWIN – Richard F., 81, was laid to rest Dec. 6, 2012, at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Hickory, N.C., having passed away peacefully Dec. 1, 2012. Richard was preceded in death by mother and father, Margaret (Thomas) and Theodore Baldwin; sisters, Mary Horn, Bonnie Wills and Sally Hritz; and brothers, Theodore Jr. and Donald. Survivors include daughter, Patrice Fletcher, and husband, Jim; daughter, Anna Camerire; son, Richard Jr.;  grandchildren, Phoebe Zimmermann, Cameron Lee, Joshua, Jacob and Joel Camerire; and four great-grandchildren. Also survived by sisters, Lois Huth and Dorothy Benton. Born Aug. 19, 1931, in Hollsopple. Richard retired from the U.S. Air Force as a TSGT, having spent his career as a procurement supervisor, then continued working as a purchasing agent with Boeing. Stationed the world over while in the Air Force, Richard would reflect on his experiences and tell riveting stories of his travels. Blessed with a bold and commanding voice, he enjoyed being involved in many stage productions through various community theaters. Officiating at Richard’s graveside service was the Rev. Karla Woggon, Episcopal Church of the Ascension in Hickory, and the honor guard from Shaw Air Force Base provided the military honors.
