Wilbert Mangus Jr.

WALNUT GROVE — MANGUS – Wilbert Jr., 81, Walnut Grove, died Jan. 8, 2013, at Arbutus Park Manor. Born March 10, 1931, in Johnstown, son of Wilbert Sr. and Ada (Hilegas) Mangus. Preceded in death by parents; stepmother, Ann Mangus; son, Allen Mangus; and brother, John “Jack” Mangus. Survived by wife, Ruth (Miller) Mangus; and son, Chris Mangus, married to Raylene, Johnstown; grandchildren, Kayli, Lakin and Allen Mangus; niece, Pam Gualardo, Salix; and numerous other nieces and nephews. He was a laborer for United Metal Fabricators, U.S. Marine veteran of the Korean War and member of Masonic Lodge 538 and NRA. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Hindman Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc., 1521 Frankstown Road, where funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Pastor Doug Black, officiating. Military rites by Conemaugh Valley Marine Corps League, Detachment 287.
