JOHNSTOWN — BLASCHAK – Andrew “Babe,” 89, Johnstown, passed away Jan. 11, 2013, at Memorial Medical Center. Born Oct. 18, 1923, in Johnstown, son of the late Michael and Ann (Patzon) Blaschak. Preceded in death by wife, Betty Lou (Livingston) Blaschak; daughter, Lauretta Ream; brothers, Michael, John, Francis and Alex; and sisters, Mary Dete, Ann Mills and Margaret Tomovik. Survived by daughters, Linda Mullen, married to Gary, and Betty “Peanut” Fabina, married to Nick, all of Johnstown; and many grandchildren, great- grandchildren and great-great- grandchildren.  World War II Navy veteran, USS Vicksburg CL86. He enjoyed hunting, camping and being in the outdoors. He was a wonderful father and husband and loved his family very much. Retired from Bethlehem Steel. Friends and family will be received from 11 a.m. until time of memorial service at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Pleasant Hill Church of the Brethren, 856 Benshoff Hill Road, Pastor Phillip King officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of John Henderson Co. Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave.
