EBENSBURG — ZARAMBA – John Joseph, 89, Ebensburg, formerly of Ehrenfeld, died Feb. 17, 2013, at Cambria Care Center, Ebensburg.  Born May 19, 1923, in South Fork, son of John and Josephine (Forencewicz) Zaramba. Preceded in death by parents; wife, Josephine F. (Witek) Zaramba, who died July 27, 1981; and sisters, Stella Hill, Helen Senec, Mary Wagner, Alice Smay and Edna Horner. Survived by sons, John D., married to Bonnie Mock, Holiday, Fla., and Gary, married to Catherine Zane, Summerhill; grandchildren, Kristy, John, Leanne and Jared; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. John was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, having served aboard the Battleship USS Nevada BB-36. Retired after 41 years of service for Bethlehem Mining Corp. as a coal miner and mechanic. Member of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, South Fork, and UMWA. Friends will be received from  2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home Inc., South Fork, where vigil for the deceased will be held 3 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, South Fork, Father Robert P. Reese. Committal, St. James Cemetery.  Military graveside service by St. Michael American Legion Post 551. (
