Harry H. Cable

LAUREL VIEW VILLAGE — CABLE – Harry H., 86, Laurel View Village, formerly of Davidsville, Johnstown and Orlando, Fla., died Nov. 8, 2012, at Memorial Medical Center. Born Jan. 30, 1926, in  Conemaugh Township, Somerset County, son of Henry and Nellie (Yoder) Cable. Preceded in death by parents; wife, the former Jane G. Grove, on July 4, 2000; and sister, Anna Mary Cable. Survived by daughter, Barbara, married to Clayton Rusch, Downers Grove, Ill.; son, Terry, married to former Barbara Knowski, Darien, Ill.; five grandchildren; 12 great- grandchildren; and brothers, Robert Cable, married to former Evelyn Mack, Hollsopple, and Dalton Cable, Davidsville. A graduate of Conemaugh Township Area High School. A U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was employed in the trucking industry most of his life. Harry enjoyed fishing and making people laugh through the many stories he would tell. Friends received from 2 p.m. until time of service at 4 p.m. Monday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 109 Church Road, Davidsville, with Pastor Wes Yoder presiding.  Inurnment,  Grandview Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Harry’s memory may be given to the American Diabetes Association, 300 Penn Center Blvd., Suite 602, Pittsburgh, Pa. 15235.  To express condolences, make a donation, light a candle or order flowers, visit
