Dorothy Chappie

CENTRAL CITY — CHAPPIE – Dorothy, 91, Central City, died April 18, 2013, at the home of her daughter. Born Dec. 24, 1921, daughter of George and Annie (Ross) Custer. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Steve; brother, Albert; daughter-in-law, Edna Mae Chappie; and son-in-law, David Kolonich. Survived by loving children, Steve, and wife, Stephanie (Chop); and James, both of Central City; Maryann Kolonich, whom she lived with for two years; and John, and wife, Judy (Polsak), Cairnbrook; and Robert, Berlin. Also survived by grandchildren, Valerie (Kolonich) Fleck, Stephen and Daniel Chappie, Kimberly (Chappie) Custer, John and Michael Chappie and Melissa (Chappie) Miller; great-grandchildren, Kristie (Fleck) Chappell, Jason and Nicholas Chappie, Michael and Barbara Custer, Jonathon Chappie and Matthew and Kaitlyn Miller; and great-great-grandchild, Benjamin Chappie. Member of SS. Peter & Paul Orthodox Greek Catholic Church, Central City. Family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Mulcahy Funeral Home, Central City, where private funeral service will be held Monday, Deacon Oleg. Committal, parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, family suggests donations be made to Windber Hospice in Dorothy’s memory.
