Vera L. (Moore) Cooper

JOHNSTOWN — COOPER – Vera L. (Moore), 77, Johnstown, went home to be with the Lord April 7, 2012, at Memorial Medical Center. Born Feb. 16, 1935, in Johnstown. Preceded in death by father and mother, George and Erma Moore; brother, George III; and sister, Beverly White. Survived by husband of 57 years, Harry P. Cooper; son, Jeffrey P. Cooper, Windber; son, Jerry D. Cooper, and wife, Jean, Erie; daughter, Joy L. Bearor, and husband, Mark; and son, James D. Cooper, and wife, Francine, all of Johnstown; grandchildren, Jeffrey Cooper Jr., Brieanne Shuman, Michael Cooper and Jesse Cooper; and great-grandchild, Aiden Cooper. Also survived by sister, Dolores Berkebile, Arizona; brother, Ted Moore, and wife, Dawn, Bangor, Pa.; sister, Lois Deitz, Windber; brother, Homer Moore, and wife, Betty, Johnstown; brother, Daniel Moore, and wife, Jackie, Johnstown; sister, Connie Bango, and husband, Thomas, Johnstown; and brother, Gary Moore, and wife, Jane, Johnstown; also several nieces and nephews. She was a member of Morrellville Church of the Brethren, where she served as church secretary for many years and was a member of the Temple Choir. No viewing will be held. Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 21, at Morrellville Church of the Brethren, 408 Chandler Ave., Johnstown, Pa. 15906, Pastor John Mangus, officiating.
