Margaret (Keri) Gentile

WINDBER — GENTILE – Margaret (Keri), 84, Windber, fell asleep peacefully in the arms of her family Oct. 3, 2013, at Memorial Medical Center. Born July 31, 1929, in Wilbur, daughter of John and Julia (Surjani) Keri. Preceded in death by parents; husband, William Gentile, who passed in 1986; son, Jeffrey “Yuk” Gentile, who passed in 2007; brothers, Joseph and John Keri; and sister, Elizabeth McGregor. Survived by loving son, Christopher Gentile, Windber; granddaughter, Felicia M. Gentile, Somerset; stepson, William Gentile Jr., and wife, Dolores; and grandson, William; brother, Daniel Keri, Wilbur; and longtime and loyal friend, Peggy Walls; also numerous nieces and nephews. A 1950 graduate of Shade Township High School. Former employee of Cambria Chair Factory, W.T. Grant Store, Tableland, Somerset County Assessment Office and co-owner of P&M Ceramics. Member of Somerset County Firemen’s auxiliary and former member of Scalp Level Fire auxiliary. Margaret was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, cook, artist and a dear and generous friend to all. Friends received from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, at William Kisiel Funeral Home, Windber, where funeral service will be held at 8 p.m. Saturday, the Rev. Ron St. Clair, officiating. Interment, St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Cemetery, Windber.
