JOHNSTOWN — KRETT – M. Mae, 96, was born Aug. 12, 1917, in Johnstown, and passed into the arms of our Lord Oct. 16, 2013. Mae was the daughter of Cora (Fritz) and Jeramiah Adams. Preceded in death in 1980 by beloved husband, Michael; their infant daughter, Nancy; parents; and siblings, Frank Adams, Carl Adams and Murial (Adams) Englehart. Survived by daughter, Joy, married to James R. Love; grandchildren, Rodney B. Seitz (wife, Janet), Windber; Stephen P. Seitz (fiancee, Mia), New Jersey; James R. Love Jr. (wife, Julie), Somerset; Cynthia Love-Lorditch, Johnstown; and Amanda S. Love, Pittsburgh; and great-grandchildren, Michael and Nicholas Seitz; Stephen, Seth and Mason Seitz; Joseph and Jordan Love; and Brennan Lorditch; also numerous nieces and nephews who were very close to their beloved Aunt Mae, who was always there for them. Mae loved her family, life and always being there for anybody who needed her help. Everything she did, she did well. She was an avid, enthusiastic hockey fan, both for the Johnstown Chiefs and for her grandsons; an awesome bowler; and she could give anyone a run for their money at horseshoes. Member of Christ the Saviour Cathedral, Garfield Street, Johnstown, and co-coordinator for the Sunday school for 20 years. Mae was a foster grandparent for 15 years. She loved working with children, and they loved her. Mae was affectionately known and loved by all as Mom, Grammy, Aunt Mae, Grandma Mae, Minnie Mae and Mae Mae. During the past several years, her memory was devastated by what one doctor described as “brain atrophy,” but more commonly known as Alzheimer’s dementia. Her family would like to thank the excellent compassionate care she received at both Senior Life Johnstown and LaurelWood Convalescent Center. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Moskal-Reid Funeral Home, West End, where the Very Rev. Protopresbyter Frank P. Miloro will hold Panachida service at 7 p.m. Friday. There will be a brief service at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, followed by funeral service at 10 a.m. at Christ the Saviour Cathedral. Committal, cathedral cemetery.
