Mary L. Cipolla

NORTHERN CAMBRIA — CIPOLLA – Mary L., 89, Northern Cambria, died Oct. 31, 2013, at Rebekah Manor, Northern Cambria. Born June 7, 1924, in Barnesboro, daughter of Alfonzo and Salvatrice (Domino) Cipolla. Preceded in death by parents; sisters, Marie Caliguire, Jennie Scarantino and Phyllis Veltri; and brothers, Phillip, John and Joseph. Survived by brothers, Anthony (Josephine Miozzi), Michigan; Sam (late Darlene Strassler) Ohio; and Alfonzo (Mary Sue Dolney), Northern Cambria; and sisters, Bessie (late Walter) Wiacek and Frances (late Anthony Rizzo), both of Michigan. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mary loved to work and take care of others. She worked at Barnesboro Shirt Factory for 48 years as a seamstress. Member of the former Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, where she loved to sing in the choir, and a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Friends received from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Long-Contres Funeral Home Inc., Northern Cambria, where Altar and Rosary service will be held at 4 p.m., followed by vigil for the deceased. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at  Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Committal, Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Cemetery.
