Joseph J. Zalucki Sr.

SALIX — ZALUCKI – Joseph J. Sr., 85, Salix, passed away Sept. 9, 2013. Born April 3, 1928, in Llanfair, son of Michael and Mary (Cimba) Zalucki. Preceded in death by parents; daughter, Cynthia (Zalucki) Miller; and sisters, Mary Holgash and Ann Sowerbrower. Survived by wife of 60 years, Mary (Paulson) Zalucki; children, Marianne, wife of Mark Stevens, Oklahoma; James Zalucki, married to Dawna (Leverknight), Salix; and Joseph Zalucki Jr., and companion, Cheryl Price, Nanty Glo; grandchildren, Eric and Matthew Miller, Daniel Stevens and Jamie and Tyler Zalucki. Former millwright-foreman, Bethlehem Steel, Johnstown, having retired in 1983. Member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Windber, where funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, the Rev. Martin Cingle. Interment, Dunmyer Cemetery, Elton. Friends received from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at William Kisiel Funeral Home, Windber, where vigil for the deceased will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Church of the Brethren Home, Windber, or Conemaugh Hospital Palliative Care Unit.
